Technical Difficulties...

March 28, 2010

Dear Addi,

Wow!! It has been a long time since I last posted a note for you and let me start off by saying im sorry! The past week or so in the Vahle house has been a bit crazy. Let's just say we live in a world where EVERYONE, including me, depends on technology.... And that's the problem! Now I must admit I do use technology for EVERYTHING but the bad thing about that is every once in awhile it will...... CRASH!! So that is exactly what Mommy, Daddy and I have been dealing with these past five days. Needless to say the internet is now back up and running. Hallelujah!!! Now moving on to what this blog is for.

Let's start with Sunday March 13. That day was literally one of the most PERFECT days! We all woke up to a beautiful cast of sun shining through the blinds giving us the feel of a hot July day. We then began to get ready for church and eat breakfast which happened to be Cinnamon Rolls, one of my favorite breakfast foods. After eating the wonderful breakfast we rushed out the door and headed for the car, thinking that it would be miserably cold outside. Suprisingly the temperature was really warm considering it was only the middle of March but hey this is Kentucky!

After church we went to one of my favorite sub places, Jimmy John's where we all ate lunch together. This to us is very important through the weekend since Daddy works nightshift and we are usally all eating at different times. Following our amazing lunch we went to the mall to look at water tubes for the lake this summer and somehow got sidetracked and ended up buying you your very first PINK softball glove! Which I have to admit I was not too caring about considering I want you to become a little cheerleader, and i'm NOT giving up!

Later on that afternoon we came home to a sunny afternoon and played outside for awhile. We each had our turns swinging on the swing with Addison.... You truly are special to all of us! Finally we slowly but surely organized the basement, which was not the easiest thing to do! We sorted things into two piles one big pile, which was the yard sale pile and one medium sized pile, which was the things Mommy had stored away and now wanted again.

Our Perfect day quickly came to a close and the boring weeknight routine began with school, homework, bath time, playtime, storytime, bedtime, etc. It's funny how things that you cherish the most are gone so quickly and then the things or times that  you really could care less about go by ALOT slower. Oh, and did i mention that since Bubby has had alot of snowdays these past months I now have to go thirty extra minutes a day! The result of this? Longer schooldays, later musical practices and shorter playtime with Bubby.

Well, that schoolweek went by and the next weekend rolled in, the weekend of March 26th. This weekend was not however the "perfect" weekend! I guess you could refer to the title of this blog "Technical Difficulties" to title this next weekend ... This past weekend was FULL of them! Let's start off with the dumb dogs! Which isn't necessarily a "technical difficulty", but it is definately a thing that gets under our skin! The past couple days we have been dealing with dumb dogs and their dumb owners! Let's just say that the dogs surrounding our house have been finding a way (digging) to get into our yard. Which makes not only me but also Mommy and Daddy very mad! Not that I mention them I can hear them barking.... WHAT A JOY!?

Not only did we have "dog" trouble but we also had technical trouble! (Aren't we just lucky?) Once again DO NOT trust technology! Unfortunately our modem went out for our computers internet which affected with my blogging.... dislike! This was just recently resolved (today) and I am now blogging my heart out!

Saturday night we went over to Aunt Lyndi's and Uncle Randy's so that Mommy and Daddy could go out on a date sicne they don't get to see each other much during the week. While at the Mastins You and I played with Katie and Connor. You had sooo much fun playing with Kates toys however she on the other hand did not like it the least bit! (She's not the "sharing" type.) With a few push and pulls we made it through the fun exciting night and returned home with Mommy and Daddy.

On the good hand we did have a fantastic Sunday once again! After church we went to McDonald's (healthy huh?) and then home where I worked on homework for a couple hours while You, Mommy and Daddy went to the grocery. Shortly after you all arrived home we left and went to Grandma and Grandpas house. Here we watched the KENTUCKY WILDCATS compete against UNC (University of North Carolina) to advance to the Final Four of the NCAA tournament....which WE WON!!

Well your now caught up to date. So did I miss anything??? I certainly hope not considering I haven't blogged in about two weeks! We'll off to bed I go! Back to the normal, boring, lame weekday schedule... what fun! But before I go below are a couple pictures from the past couple weeks and our FUN adventures.

Love Always,
Bubby

A Visit to LOUISVILLE!!

March 15, 2011

Dear Addi,

This past weekend Mommy, You, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Lyndi, Katie, Connor and I all went to Louisville! We had ALOT of fun! Our main focus of the weekend was to see Gigi who had been recovering from knee replacement surgery. While we were there it just happened to be that Grandma and Grandpa's anniversary was on Friday and Grandmas birthday was on Saturday. Therefore, on Friday we went to Aspen Creek (one of my favorite restaurants) and then on Saturday had birthday cake at Gigi's for Grandmas birthday. While we were in Louisville we enjoyed golf cart rides, spending time with the "Louisville family", reading books with your cousins/ family members, jumping on the trampoline and......... WALKING?!

Yeah that's right you began to take small little walks toward Mommy and Aunt Lyndi! And lucky me, I got it all on video!

Oh, and let's not forget that we also enjoyed watching the CATS play in the SEC tournament, which we won! Saturday night you had the most fun I've seen you have in awhile. You, Katie, Luke, and Tucker (your cousins who live in Germany) ran around Gigi's house for at least 45 minutes scaring each other. It was funny to watch your reactiong and hear your little cackle when Luke said, "BOO!". On Sunday we headed home from a long weekend. Thank you soooo much for being good in the car I didn't hear a peep! It was a GREAT weekend to be outside.

Love Always,
Bubby

Playtime!!

March 9, 2010

Dear Addi,

Tonight You and I had a "playdate"! It was SO much fun! Especially since You and I dont get to play much during the week. I had fun playing drums, doing cheerleading (stunts), walking and reading books! I can already tell you are going to be musically talented! You GOT the beat! I would play the "Shout" song-singing dog and you would start rocking back and forth!
Addi "dancing" with the dog!

I also had fun taking pictures with you I can never have enough pictures to brag about! So we also had a PHOTOSHOOT!! I can't wait till our next "playdate"!

March 7, 2010

Dear Addi,

Today I created this blog to "blog" about the times we share together so that when you get older you can read all  the blogs. You could think of it as a journal! Today You, Mommy and I played downstairs for al little bit and then before we knew it you were going to bed! I really hate the weeks we dont get to see each other as much as I would like us to. It doesnt help when i have Musical practice as well but this weekend we will go to Louisville and get to visit our Great Grandparents! We will have lots of fun! I can't wait!

Love Always,
Bubby

Your Here!

May 4, 2010

Dear Addi,

Today you were born! You have no idea what feelings and emotions were running through my head. I can tell you one thing I cried a couple times! I can also tell you that I love you beyond words can explain! When I walked into that hospital room I felt like, like a Big Brother. I had now met the person that I would spend the rest of my life with, my sister! Although sometimes it may get tough because you are crying in your room at 2AM or taking stuff out of my room without permission I will always love you! And I was SOOO glad to see you today! Glad you made your apperance, see it wasn't that hard! Can't wait till you come home from the hospital!

Love Always,
Bubby

Welcome to the "Real World"

May 2, 2010

Dear Addison,

Hey Sis! I am so excited! You know why? Because you are scheduled to be here tomorrow (May 3, 2010)! I can't wait! I look foward to all the fun times Me, You, Mommy, and Daddy will have in the upcoming future. I can't wait to see what you look like. You have already stole the hearts of so many, including mine, and your not even here yet, AMAZING! It is going to be so much fun being a big  brother! We (family) are all waiting very impatiently to hopefully meet you tomorrow. Mommy was scheduled to have you yesterday (May 1st) Daddy's birthday but unfortunately that didn't happen.... P.S. Your not cooperating very well! Therefore at 5 in the morning Mommy and Daddy will head to the hospital so that Mommy can be induced, so that they can make you make an apperance since your not wanting to. Many times I sit and wonder how much my life will be changed, for the good, by having you in it. It will be amazing! I've always dreamed of having a little sister and now your making my dream become reality. Thank you! We are all (Mommy, Daddy and I) rushing around to do last minute touches on your bedroom and Mommy's going a little crazy and buying diaper bags and clothes. I know one thing for a fact you are going to be the best dressed little girl in Nicholasville, KY! Once again I can't wait till I walk in the hospital room and see my sister, my dream! I love you with all my heart and can't wait to cherish the moments me and you will have together! Now of course your here cause you are reading this. Remember always make good decesions and don't let ANYONE put you down! Welcome to the world Addi!

Love Always,
Bubby
