Technical Difficulties...

March 28, 2010

Dear Addi,

Wow!! It has been a long time since I last posted a note for you and let me start off by saying im sorry! The past week or so in the Vahle house has been a bit crazy. Let's just say we live in a world where EVERYONE, including me, depends on technology.... And that's the problem! Now I must admit I do use technology for EVERYTHING but the bad thing about that is every once in awhile it will...... CRASH!! So that is exactly what Mommy, Daddy and I have been dealing with these past five days. Needless to say the internet is now back up and running. Hallelujah!!! Now moving on to what this blog is for.

Let's start with Sunday March 13. That day was literally one of the most PERFECT days! We all woke up to a beautiful cast of sun shining through the blinds giving us the feel of a hot July day. We then began to get ready for church and eat breakfast which happened to be Cinnamon Rolls, one of my favorite breakfast foods. After eating the wonderful breakfast we rushed out the door and headed for the car, thinking that it would be miserably cold outside. Suprisingly the temperature was really warm considering it was only the middle of March but hey this is Kentucky!

After church we went to one of my favorite sub places, Jimmy John's where we all ate lunch together. This to us is very important through the weekend since Daddy works nightshift and we are usally all eating at different times. Following our amazing lunch we went to the mall to look at water tubes for the lake this summer and somehow got sidetracked and ended up buying you your very first PINK softball glove! Which I have to admit I was not too caring about considering I want you to become a little cheerleader, and i'm NOT giving up!

Later on that afternoon we came home to a sunny afternoon and played outside for awhile. We each had our turns swinging on the swing with Addison.... You truly are special to all of us! Finally we slowly but surely organized the basement, which was not the easiest thing to do! We sorted things into two piles one big pile, which was the yard sale pile and one medium sized pile, which was the things Mommy had stored away and now wanted again.

Our Perfect day quickly came to a close and the boring weeknight routine began with school, homework, bath time, playtime, storytime, bedtime, etc. It's funny how things that you cherish the most are gone so quickly and then the things or times that  you really could care less about go by ALOT slower. Oh, and did i mention that since Bubby has had alot of snowdays these past months I now have to go thirty extra minutes a day! The result of this? Longer schooldays, later musical practices and shorter playtime with Bubby.

Well, that schoolweek went by and the next weekend rolled in, the weekend of March 26th. This weekend was not however the "perfect" weekend! I guess you could refer to the title of this blog "Technical Difficulties" to title this next weekend ... This past weekend was FULL of them! Let's start off with the dumb dogs! Which isn't necessarily a "technical difficulty", but it is definately a thing that gets under our skin! The past couple days we have been dealing with dumb dogs and their dumb owners! Let's just say that the dogs surrounding our house have been finding a way (digging) to get into our yard. Which makes not only me but also Mommy and Daddy very mad! Not that I mention them I can hear them barking.... WHAT A JOY!?

Not only did we have "dog" trouble but we also had technical trouble! (Aren't we just lucky?) Once again DO NOT trust technology! Unfortunately our modem went out for our computers internet which affected with my blogging.... dislike! This was just recently resolved (today) and I am now blogging my heart out!

Saturday night we went over to Aunt Lyndi's and Uncle Randy's so that Mommy and Daddy could go out on a date sicne they don't get to see each other much during the week. While at the Mastins You and I played with Katie and Connor. You had sooo much fun playing with Kates toys however she on the other hand did not like it the least bit! (She's not the "sharing" type.) With a few push and pulls we made it through the fun exciting night and returned home with Mommy and Daddy.

On the good hand we did have a fantastic Sunday once again! After church we went to McDonald's (healthy huh?) and then home where I worked on homework for a couple hours while You, Mommy and Daddy went to the grocery. Shortly after you all arrived home we left and went to Grandma and Grandpas house. Here we watched the KENTUCKY WILDCATS compete against UNC (University of North Carolina) to advance to the Final Four of the NCAA tournament....which WE WON!!

Well your now caught up to date. So did I miss anything??? I certainly hope not considering I haven't blogged in about two weeks! We'll off to bed I go! Back to the normal, boring, lame weekday schedule... what fun! But before I go below are a couple pictures from the past couple weeks and our FUN adventures.

Love Always,
Bubby
